BELFAST — Maine songstresses Sorcha Cribben-Merrill and Emilia Dahlin return to the Underground Lounge, Thursday, Nov. 2.
“A fortuitous pairing of compelling artists with accomplished solo careers, multi-instrumentalists Cribben-Merrill and Dahlin combine beautiful harmonies with clever songwriting combining folk, jazz, and other influences. Their sense of play and warmth continually charms audiences,” said the Underground Lounge, in a news release.
“Cribben-Merrill, named an Emerging Artist at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, has been wooing listeners with her soulful songwriting and velvety vocals, both solo and in collaboration with songwriter Connor Garvey, cellist Jo Sorrell, and percussionist Kafari,” in the release.
Dahlin is winner of numerous songwriting contests and a veteran of international tours, captivating audiences for nearly two decades and sharing the stage with luminaries like Lori McKenna and Ani DiFranco.
“Her jazz-inflected vocals enliven an alt-folk repertoire of quirky tales and rhythmic grooves,” said the release.
