ROCKPORT — Coastal Mountains Land Trust hosts Thrill of the Hill, Saturday, Oct. 28, beginning at 9 a.m. This community-friendly race takes place at Beech Hill Preserve, in Rockport, and runners of all levels and speedy walkers are welcome.
The 3.7 mile trail race begins and ends atop Beech Hill. Runners will start downhill, make a right onto Coastal Mountains Land Trust’s extension trail that connects to Erickson Field’s Preserve. Runners will make a loop on the preserve before returning to the same route, with a steady climb uphill.
Sign up as an individual or register as a team of 3-5 runners with your final times averaged together. Prizes will be given to the top three individual and team finishers.
“Bring your family, challenge your friends, experience one of the Midcoast’s most magical places, and run on a bold, but beginner-friendly course at the 2023 Thrill of the Hill Race,” said CMLT, in a news release.
Halloween costumes are welcome, but not required.
Thanks to the race sponsor, Maine State Credit Union, registrations will directly support the improvement of Beech Hill and its trails.
